Sunflowers and Love

sunflowers-with-ragweed.jpeg

I stopped at this vibrant yellow field of sunflowers yesterday. While taking photos of my adorable niece, I noticed that the ragweed was trying to compete with the sunflowers and some of the weeds were as tall or taller than the sunflowers. On reflection I see that only a few of the weeds were in direct competition because the abundance of the sunflowers were not letting them get a foothold. This is because the farmer growing these amazing sunflowers gives them his energy while working hard at keep the weeds from overtaking the field.

How does one keep the weeds from overtaking a field of sunflowers? By focusing on feeding and giving the sunflowers all they need to grow and thrive. The weeds are still there trying to grow, but the sunflowers have the upper hand. At the same time, you might also give the weeds energy to stay down. The farmer should have a focused, purposeful and neutral energy while taking some control of the weeds.

How does this field of sunflowers relate to our world situation today? It is a metaphor for taking the time to put YOUR energy, LOVE and ATTENTION into what makes you thrive and grow? If the negative or ‘Hate’ (weeds) theme shows up today in any form, then focus on putting YOUR time and energy into spreading LOVE and growth as a human BEING because that is what will allow you and the world to THRIVE and be abundant with amazing beauty! But you also need to put some energy and time into keeping the ‘hate’ and negative at bay with focused, purposeful, neutral, loving energy!
