Deep BREATH.

Beat….

Beat....

Beat...

Deep BREATH.

Tune into your heartbeats.

Does the rhythm of your heart change during times of....

relaxation?

anxiety?

trauma?

working?

Throughout your day, stop and take notice of your feelings.

How does your heartbeat change with each emotion?

When our heartbeat changes with our emotional state, it affects our mood and how we treat ourselves and others.

Think of trauma you’ve experienced in the past (or maybe trauma you’re experiencing now). What happens to your heartbeat when your thoughts are related to the trauma?

What happens in your body? How did it make you feel?

Do you know that your thinking takes place on the left side of your brain while your emotions take place on the right side of your brain?

When we have a thought (from our left side of our brain) it triggers an emotion (from the right side of our brain) that is connected to the thought we just had. Many times this emotion is associated with a past event or filter that we relate to the current thought.

Imagine yourself watching a scary or high-action movie. Even though you are not directly experiencing the horror or action, your body is reacting to the movie.

Our old filters act in the same way as watching a movie. We push play in our memory bank and project an old emotion on to the current event.

Beat…

Beat…

Beat…

Deep BREATH.

When you begin practicing a balancing breath exercise, you will find that thoughts DO create your reality.

This daily practice becomes muscle memory for the nervous system and you'll start to feel more balanced in every area of your life.

Each in-breath is the same count as the out-breath.

Breath in for a count of 5 (or any count that is comfortable) through your nose.

Breath out for a count of 5 through your nose.

Breath in for a count of 5 through your nose.

Breath out for a count of 5 through your nose.

Let’s BEAT together and create peace.
